Circular broom technology instead of rollers, particular wear-resistant sweeping brushes made of special nylon material, a two year warranty that can be extended to 4 years, patented air conduction – these are some key words of the Haaga sweeping machine company presented at stand 619 in hall B4 at the I.M.M. Fair. The graduated engineer Hermann Haaga has personal contact with each of his customers, and he is convinced of his products.
Empty cans, branches, wood pieces, paper, sand and other waste are poured out onto the ground by this artful punctilious man at the fair stand. And not even on uniform ground. Haaga has covered the stand with sandy roofing paper, next to it is the even hall floor, followed by the carpet for the visitors.
With the patented sweeping machines the company owner sweeps over the dirt, and the roofing paper, the hall floor and the carpet are as clean as they were before.
Even the Swabian “Kehrwoche” would not be a problem. “Our machines sweep without spreading dust thanks to the slowly rotating circular brooms”, explained Haaga. The dirt is not raised by the brooms but is pushed into the waste container. “Even wet leaves have no chance” assured us the Swabian whose company is situated in Kirchheim/Teck. “All parts are completely produced in Kirchheim”, he said emphatically. And he informed us confidentially that the “Turbo series is the largest hand sweeping machine in the world.” With a trial run, the fair visitors satisfied themselves about the fact that the large version with approximately 1 meter width can be pushed as easy as the small “TOP 550” and “TOP 750” sweeping machines that are 55 cm and/or 75 cm wide.
The graduated engineer points particularly to a large, red adjusting knob. With this knob, the slope can be adjusted so that unevenness of the floor is no longer a problem. Nobody wonders that these quick sweepers have been invented in Swabia, because it is the homeland of the “Kehrwoche” (the German street sweeping tradition).
