Haaga for any case.
A clever idea that can be used round about your house, your garden and your terrace, your workshop and your garage, for courtyards, driveways, and simply for everything. Before starting operation, the handle must be fixed to the housing as on all other sweeping machines. The handles of the Haaga machines that can be adjusted from 102 cm to 112 cm are exceptional in our test field. After having finished the first preparations, the Haaga TOP 550 appears in its full size, and gives the impression of being light and easy to handle – sporty to the spectator. That this outward appearance may influence the required track fidelity was only found out later.
The circular broom sweeper
The Haaga Top 550 works according to the circular broom direct principle. All kinds of dirt, even when dry or wet, small or large, even empty coke cans are no problem for this smart sweeper. The two, in opposite directions rotating 280 mm large circular brushes whisk all kind of materials directly into the waste container with 25 l capacity. The permanently driven circular brushes are only powerful together, and therefore they are to be adjusted in height only together. The height adjustment is graduated in 8 steps so that the optimal brush pressure for every kind of ground is ensured. It quickly falls into oblivion that the sweeping machine weighs only 6 kg, because after becoming accustomed to the unit, the user can easily keep it on course. Only during the training it becomes evident that the laterally mounted distance rollers proverbially take over a “supporting roll” in order to prevent the main actors (circular brushes) from being squeezed in the corners.Thanks to this construction, the working width of 550 mm is optimally utilized even in the corners so that the surface to be cleaned of 1600 m²/h stated by the manufacturer is absolutely realistic.

Result
The Haaga Top 550 is to be used for any case, in and around the house. When deducting some insignificant disadvantages with regard to the driving comfort, the Top 550 without exception shows good cleaning results that do not entirely reach up to those of the Kränzle machine. Amounting to approx. DM 350, it is worth its price.
